Was signing up a new web host for another project today. So I came across this hack alert monitoring and was wondering if it is worth to pay for such a service. So I googled around to see what it does. While the first few links seems to be talking about why you need it. I don’t think most people need it, especially when you are just starting out and don’t have the extra cash for it. Backup is probably more useful and if needed backup in some other place with a different user name and password so even if your initial username and password is compromised they can’t touch the backup.
