What I think about the women’s charter in singapore is a outdated piece of legislation. It was drafted in an age where women may not be able to provide for themselves but now increasingly women are able to provide for themselves and may even earn more than their spouse. I agree that it should be changed to a family charter then a women’s charter as women’s charter would most mean that it would privilege women as suggested by the name. If there is a women’s charter then there should also be a men’s charter for it to be equal.
