Android App, wordpress, The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule (14-10-15)
I am not sure if I have posted this before. I suspected that I have. So this time I have spent sometime to get onto siteground support to try to get it fixed. Apparently I was told to try to change theme. Which didn’t work. I changed the theme and updated the plugins, didn’t work so I changed it back. I also tried to go into the app and use things like www.arevainna.com, arevainna.com http://www.arevainna.com or even http://www.arevainna.com all don’t work. And this error only affects when you are using view site or view admin and it only seems to be on the android phone probably like version 5. It works on the iphone and on the pc.
(04-07-16 update) Solution to fix the problem
The images are small but you can click on them to see the bigger picture. First login to your cpanel. File manager.
Double click you will have a popup
You have to locate your wordpress .htaccess file. This is different from user to user.
It tells you to backup so you can go and make a copy of your file first before you make changes just in case you screw up
when you are in the .htaccess you are suppose to change the secFilterEngine to Off.
Hello, I’m encountering the same problem when view my siteground-hosted wordpress site after adding it to the WordPress Android app. Did you ever come across any solution, which would overcome the restricted access problem?
