Updating to wordpress 4.2 and downgrading it back

Just a few days back, I looked at the annoying upgrade wordpress again and decided to upgrade. Again I made the mistake of not making backup first before moving into upgrading wordpress. I just clicked updated and there are tons of problems. At first it was a white screen which they so called the white screen of death. I went into debug and found out what was the problem. There was a function name that was created in the new wordpress that conflicts with a custom function that the theme creator created. So had to go into the ftp and changed the name of the theme and plug ins and then went to themeforest to download the new theme and upgraded the plugins. After that there was still the register_sidebar problem. So I thought I had enough and went to downgrade the wordpress back.
